I’m not sure if I’m experiencing writer’s block or this next wedding is just literally too sweet for words. Despite having to plan their wedding from miles away, no details were overlooked thanks to the talented wedding planner Sherly Aziz of Tie the Knot. Andrew and Yee Ling’s dream wedding of a rustic, vintage wedding came true after months of scouring the city for the best venue. They decided on Ciao Ristorante for its Tuscan countryside ambience by the lake overlooking the greenery of a golf course.
Take a deep breath, then gush over all the lovely details of a romantically vintage spread photographed by Naomi Ching. It feels almost like a destination wedding within the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

From the planner: Both couple was working in the oil and gas industry from different firms. I recalled the bride, Yee Ling mentioning that she went for drinks with her girlfriends at a drinking hole nearby their office and happened to make friends with a group of guys who were sitting near them. One of them is Andrew, the groom. She cheekily told us that when she first set eyes on Andrew, she didn’t really like him or rather there was no chemistry. It was through a casual friendship of a few more meet ups and perseverance from the groom that love slowly blossomed.
Yee Ling’s bridal style is very feminine. I’m really loving the side-sweep hairstyle with soft romantic curls, off shoulder lace wedding gown she bought from Russia and the generous usage of pearls from Maysaku, also from Russia.
“The couple envisioned a sweet, rustic wedding with vintage touches. The venue was the perfect location to match what they were looking for, a beautiful outdoor setting facing the green golf course and rustic minimalist knick knack decor around the restaurant grounds. With a colour scheme of light pink and cream, their dinner reception was brought to life with small handmade touches of paper goods, lots of lace and beautiful floral decor.”

“As it was an intimate dinner, we suggested a candy & dessert table as they are visually beautiful as they are a taste sensation. It was a real head turner and talking point for most of the guests. Another was the photo booth area which guests had fun using a Polaroid camera to take their quirky photos with interesting props and write their wishes to the couple. The bride was very much involved in the wedding planning with us and made efforts to purchase unique decor items to enhance the album/ photo area.”

Sherly also mentioned that one of the highlights of the wedding was how touched the groom was after watching the morning bridal pick up session and the tea ceremony wedding montage by The Photoz, shown during the dinner reception.
“Another highlight was the groom’s parents who flew in from Scotland. They were amazed at the floral decor and set up that they couldn’t stop gushing about how beautiful the whole wedding was.”
